The Australian Alpine Institute is an Outdoor Recreation and Adventure company operating in North Eastern Victoria, particularly the Mansfield district, for the past 17 years. We recruit the very best trainers in the country to offer genuinely exciting programs to a broad range of clients. Based at Mt Buller ski resort we have excellent options and resources available throughout the year.

Education/Australian: We offer adventure courses in a wide range of pursuits that are steered to be completely compatible with National Curriculum requirements. (Most of our staff are teachers). We are fully insured with the requisite permits and we get excited about designing programs to suit individual teacher's needs and budget. Many bad weather options are available.

Education/ International: We aim our one year multi-skill Cert 3 Outdoor Rec course at international gap-year students who wish to see all of Australia in an exciting but organised and relatively safe manner. The year includes one month of instruction followed by a month of independent travel. Instructed months subjects are surfing, lead climbing, skiing/boarding, emergency response bushcraft, an eco/cultural road-trip, sea kayaking, mountain-biking and excellent optional extras. 

Corporate Training: Our corporate adventure training programs focus on executive team building and leadership development. Fun, challenging, action-based learning. Your team will be presented with adventure learning activities and leadership concepts, Whether skiing, climbing, canoeing, fly fishing or participating in experiential games, you will be challenged to develop a superior level of leadership and teamwork.

Adventure/Recreation: Having no educational element means we can be totally flexible.
Try a 25km (90% downhill) mountain-bike ride with a beer and barbie at the end. We even send two guides in case one breaks. Lead climbing at Arapiles or paddle the grade IV Mitta Mitta. The staff recruited are the best in the country and can guide/teach to any required standard (and they don't break very often)
