The Alpine Institute is a highly experienced Outdoor Recreation company operating in North Eastern Victoria, particularly the Mansfield district, for the past 17 years We have the required permits, expertise, public liability insurances and industry accreditations to deliver a wide range of exciting programs. We have designed outdoor education activities to meet the needs of individual school programs taking into account year level, experience and desired outcomes. The staff employed and contracted by AAI are leaders in their respective fields, setting standards of operation that are recognized throughout the industry. The AAI is very flexible in its packaging of programs including the types of activities, duration, location, outcomes and pricing. All prices could be negotiated to fit within budget constraints however there may be modifications to the delivery of the activity to adjust to any price reduction. Larger groups with multiple activities over a longerduration are most cost effective. Although principally based at Mt Buller we manage many different activities in diverse locations such as The Grampians, Central Australia and the Whitsundays.
Every tour is unique and specific to client requirements. The following is a small but representative selection... Abseiling From our 6 storey tower, Rock climbing On the cliffs of Arapiles or the Grampians, Mountain Biking On the pristine Alpine trails, Kayaking/Rafting On the mighty King River or around the Victorian coastline, Bushwalking in our own back garden - the perfect way to explore and learn, Fly Fishing On the superb Delatite River or our own privately stocked Trout lake, Horse riding through thousands of acres of unspoilt bushland... At 5,500ft the weather can turn nasty so we have a few alternatives. Indoor Climbing On our 16 metre wall, Indoor Abseiling From the roof beams of the sports hall, Archery In our enormous sports centre, Ball Sports - Any sized group can enjoy just about any ball sports, Movies screened in Australia's highest cinema, Team Building - many different models available at short notice, Environmental Presentation - 45 minute presentaion of Mt Buller's natural environment and how it is managed. We aim to support in the planning and production of school projects and are well resourced to do so.
Our facilities include a video conferencing centre, wireless internet, lecture theatre (digital projection), classrooms and cinema.
