What we do in winter
Well, we ski a
lot, but also continue with our corporate programs and manage a number of
facilities on the mountain. We run a gymnasium, a sports centre, physiotherapy and massage rooms, and a
180 seat cinema.
Gymnasium
The world class
gym not only hosts our elite athletes and up and coming juniors, but is also
available to mountain staff and the general public. It’s open between 12 and
8pm so you can work off the guilt and feel proud of yourself. Hot showers, cleaned
daily and very friendly staff will help you if you want help (and will leave
you alone if you don’t.) Video and
Digital Projector are available in the stretching area and feel free to bring
your own i-pod and plug it into the sound system.
We also have
classes in Pilates, Yoga, Circuit, Spin and Personal Training.

Sports Hall
Big enough to
comfortably contain two tennis courts and five storeys high, you can play any
ball sport without crashing into walls. It also has a climbing wall (15m), trampolines, bouncy castle, and
archery range. Most importantly, it is indoors and out of the weather.

Physio and Massage Rooms
A very
experienced Physiotherapist operates daily from the gymnasium treatment rooms.
Several masseurs also operate in adjacent private rooms. As the only Physio on
the mountain demand is very high so it’s wise book in early.

Cinema
The latest
releases are screened every evening throughout the season. Usually two movies a
night and on bad weather days we screen daytime sessions. A great little place
to hide away from the cold weather and relax. There’s a good little choccy
kiosk for late night snackers and Cinema Club membership is available which
allows you in to any movie, any time, all season. Seats around 180 people and
a very big night is planned for Sex in the City II on July 28th. The entrance is on the roof of the
building (street level).

Child $9
Where are we
In the Mt Buller
Community Centre. The building only recently became known as this; previously
it has been called LaTrobe, The Uni Building, Public Sports Centre, Buller TAFE,
Dr John’s, and The Loony Building. Various signs are still visible to remind
you of these names, however it is called Mt Buller Community Centre until
further notice.
We largely
operate from Levels one and two but the cinema has rooftop access (at street
level).
